Approx. one baking pan
Ingredients:
- 5 dl coarsely rolled gluten-free oats
- 2 dl almonds (or other nuts)
- 1 dl flaxseed
- 1 dl sesame seeds or sunflower seeds
- 1 dl coconut flakes
- 3 large tablespoons honey (or maple syrup)
- 3 large tablespoons of virgin coconut oil
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla powder
- ½ tsp Atlantic salt
- 2 dl chopped dried fruit (e.g. dates and figs)
Procedure:
- Preheat the oven to 180° hot air.
- Mix oats, almonds, flax seeds, sesame seeds, coconut flakes, cinnamon, vanilla powder and salt in a large bowl.
- Melt the coconut oil with honey (or maple syrup) in a saucepan and then pour it over the other ingredients. Use your hands to mix everything together well.
- Spread the granola evenly on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- Bake for approximately 10-12 minutes. Turn the granola 2-3 times along the way so that it is evenly baked and golden.
- When the granola is ready, remove from the oven and mix in the chopped dried fruit once it has cooled slightly.
- Allow the granola to cool completely on the baking sheet and then store it in a tightly sealed container. It will keep for about 14 days - but it may be eaten sooner!
